Pastor:

James D. Schroeder is the pastor of Jalapa Chapel.  He serves Jalapa along with his wife, Danielle, and their three children, Anna, Zayne, and Madilyn. James was unanimously recommended by the Jalapa Chapel Board and accepted by our congregation to become full-time lead pastor on January 28, 2018. 

James attended Trinity International University and graduated in 2014. He is a Spirit-driven young man who is passionate about evangelism and community outreach. We rejoice in having the Schroeders "on board" at Jalapa Chapel and look forward to all that the Lord will be doing in and through us all together in the days ahead.

Church Board of Deacons:

Jalapa Chapel functions as a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization under the leadership of an overseeing Board of Deacons. 

This Board is currently made up of the following individuals:

​Shirley Rennaker, Treasurer, Homemaker, former bookkeeper for family business, resides near Converse, IN   

Brooke Cheek, Speech therapist in Oak Hill Schools, resides near Sweetser, IN

Bradey Newhouse, Area farmer/farm manager, resides near Sweetser, IN
